Job Description: Job Description: Fleet Mechanic POSITION SUMMARY The Fleet Mechanic provides preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles as assigned by Fleet Manager. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform front line mechanic inspections, preventive maintenance and electrical repairs on both diesel and gasoline vehicles per AMR Fleet Policy and ProceduresRespond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requestedAssist other mechanics as neededOperate Company vehicles in accordance with Company policy and safe driving practicesComplete all required vehicle repair and maintenance paperwork and documentation neatly, correctly, and in a timely manner using AMR repair work orders and AMR Fleet Maintenance Software (RTA)Attend all mandatory Fleet training and meetingsFoster a culture of employee appreciation and accountability at an organizational levelSupport and contribute to AMR's commitment to equity and inclusionSupport and nurture a diverse and inclusive environment where all people feel welcomedRepair and maintain vehicles correctly, and in a quality and timely mannerRespond professionally to changing fleet and operations departmental prioritiesRespond promptly to road calls, accurately diagnose, and perform quality repairsMaintain a safe and clean work areaThoroughly, promptly, neatly, and accurately document vehicle repairs and maintenance including a complete accounting of all labor hours, parts, and materials usedProvide excellent customer service and maintain a respectful working relationship with all fleet and operations personnel; display professional conduct with outside suppliers and contactsTake responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practicesAdhere to Company and OSHA safety guidelinesIdentify and report existing and potential safety concerns to Fleet SupervisionAdhere to AMR Fleet Policy and ProceduresPerform all other duties as assigned by Lead Mechanic, Shop Foreman, and Area Fleet Manager NONESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS Must have a high school diploma or equivalent educationMust have four years of verifiable experience as a Class C - Associate Mechanic, and automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on Company vehiclesMust have two ASE Certifications in automotive or truck series: brakes, steering/suspensionMust have a current and valid Oregon or Washington driver's licenseMust have a full set of personal tools needed to complete basic automotive repairsMust be able to use:Telecommunication equipment and computersPersonal hand toolsVehicle shop equipmentVehicle hoist/floor jacksDiagnostic scan toolsBrake latheTire balancer and mounting machineA/C recovery/recycle machinePneumatic air tools and miscellaneous hand tools Why Choose AMR ?
